With everyone's favorite time of the year coming, we want to announce the opening of the 2010 Greater Polk County Farmers Market. We are all excited as we have several events planned for this season. All of our vendors have been working hard all winter, and in the past few weeks to get their products ready for this great event. Our opening date is April 17, 2010, and we will hold our opening day at the annual Home and Garden Show. Our market will have seven booths, as to be shared by several of our vendors. In talking to our vendors over the last few weeks they will be having a great selections of items.
Let us take a few moments and share some of our vendors that will be bringing their products to the opening day and future days of the market. Jan & Ray Vanish farm fresh eggs, Kevin Sharp lettuce, radishes, cucumbers, tomatoes, Gaylord & Lorna Piper vegetable and herb bedding plants, John & Jeremy Blosser hanging flower baskets, vegetable plants, John Lower bedding plants and flowering plants, Jim & CC Gulick jams, jellies, & other canned items, baked goods, Sandy Meyer handmade soaps. These are just a few of our vendors, we invite all of you to come help us make this a great event.
We also want to remind everyone that after the opening day we will be returning to our regular location, on the corner of Main and Locust. The market days will be Tuesday 3:30 to 6:30 and Saturday 7:30 to 11:00, if you have any questions you may call Jim Gulick, President of the market or CC Gulick Market Manager at 417-777-4586 or 417-298-1764. Look forward to seeing you ALL.

  1. My husband and I are moving to Bolivar to attend SBU at the end of this summer. I hope the farmer's market is still happening at that time. How late in the year does it run?
