Welcome To A Great Beginning Of 2010

Welcome to a great beginning of 2010, as we look forward to another great year. 2009 was a good year for some, as to our saddness our market will be losing one of our vendors do to ecomony, and that would be Carters Farm, we wish them well in their new venture, they will be deeply missed. But we will be welcoming a new meat vendor to our market and she is well known and her name is Sharon Hunt, from Walnut Grove Mo, and the name of her farm is Ozark Belgian Blue Blue Beef, LLC, we look forward to having her as one of our vendors. Also we will be welcoming Ray & Jan Vanish they will be providing our market with farm fresh eggs, their business also takes orders for hatching eggs and baby chicks, they formerly attended Fairgrove Farmers Market but we welcome them aboard to our market, please come and help us welcome these and other vendors for a great coming year. Our market will open April 17, 2010 and our opening day we will be located at the Bolivar, Lawn and Garden Show, which will be held at the building of the YMCA, we look forward to this event. We will have seven booths for our opening of our market our vendors will be sharing booths for this event, to allow our vendors to introduce some of their products, they will have in the coming days of the market. Some of these products will be as such plants, flowers, hanging flower baskets, handmade soaps, jams, jellies and other canned items, eggs and wonderful homemade baked goods, we look forward to seeing you there, the market will resume at our regular location at Locust and Main on the following Tuesday. Also, there has been a rumor that the Berry Patch has gone out of business and they would like all of their customers, friends and family to know that they are still around and looking forward to seeing everyone at the Greater Polk Farmers Market, and can be visited at the farm, the only changes that they have made is not attending the Fairgrove Market, but they will be attending the Heritage Reunion in September and look forward to seeing everyone there. They say if they ever go out of business they will be the ones to let all know and they don't see that happening as things are going great and looking forward to a great year. The market would like to thank Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company for the donation of seeds for our local childrens program, this will help us with the education part of the market, we have several new events planned for this year. The market would also want to the give a Thank You to our local health department as they have been a great help with information. We look forward to seeing everyone at our Opening Day.
